SSM post specialist profile

Job requirements:

  • A good knowledge of Law 319/2006; HG 300/2006;
  • SSM Inspector Course (80 hours);
  • PSI Technical Framework Course;
  • Risk Assessor course (180 hours) - an advantage;
  • SSM Coordinator Course (HG 300/2006) - an advantage;
  • Graduate - technical or construction field;
  • Relevant experience in the field of SSM/SU;
  • PC operating knowledge, Microsoft Office;
  • Communication and teamwork skills;
  • A high degree of autonomy, responsibility and commitment;
  • Driving licence holder categ. B - also available for business trips;

Responsibilities

  • Draws up specific documentation and instructions for Occupational Safety and Health;
  • Provides information and training to workers in the field of HSE and SU;
  • It is responsible for checking the application of the legal provisions and internal regulations in the field of health and safety applicable in its area of activity and the site's own safety and health plan;
  • Proposes to update the site's own Safety and Health Plan and risk assessment according to the evolution of the physical stages and the identified injury risks;
  • If requested, is part of the team assessing the risks of occupational injury and illness;
  • Promote a proactive and responsible behaviour of all site employees in all matters related to occupational safety and health;
  • Promotes the identification and reporting of occupational safety and health incidents and is involved in identifying their causes and implementing corrections and corrective actions;
  • Immediately informs the hierarchy of work accidents suffered by himself/herself or other employees;
  • Participates in the investigation of accidents at work within the investigation committees;
  • Ensure compliance with Training Programme and testing in its area of activity;
  • Verify and take measures to comply with the periodicity of occupational medical examinations;
  • Checks the condition of collective protection equipment and individual protection equipment used by site personnel and makes proposals for their replacement, addition or improvement;
  • Keeps records of protective equipment requiring periodic inspection and ensures that inspections are carried out on time;
  • Keeps a record of the work equipment used on site and ensures that the periodic inspection plan is followed;
  • Checks the organisation of workplaces from the point of view of health and safety at work and proposes improvement measures;
  • Informs staff about measures to improve health and safety at work and about incidents and accidents that occur in the company;
  • Cooperate with workers with specific duties in the field of occupational safety and health in order to prevent accidents and occupational diseases;
  • Permanently monitors the activity on site and informs the hierarchy as soon as possible on the non-conformities found and proposes improvement measures;
  • Participate in site meetings with SSM topics;
  • Maintains permanent contact with the client's site representatives to resolve any SSM issues that may affect the performance of the site;
  • Helps integrate new employees or newcomers to the site;
  • Encourages quality teamwork and collaboration across employees and teams;
