Building Europe’s first FPV factory marks a key step toward energy innovation, boosting local production, reducing supply chain risks and accelerating the transition to sustainable, water-efficient solar power.
Strategically positioned along Bucharest’s main Ring Road, on a plot of 40,000 sqm, the factory offers exceptional logistic advantages. In order to reduce its CO2 footprint, the factory will be powered by a 2.6 MWp PV park and backed by BESS, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable energy practices.

A new chapter in European floating solar manufacturing begins with WALDEVAR.
This vision is taking shape in Romania, where WALDEVAR is developing what is set to become Europe’s only dedicated floating photovoltaic systems manufacturing facility. A place where European engineering and renewable energy come together.
At the heart of our systems are high-density polyethylene (HDPE) floats, engineered for a 30-year service life and designed with recyclability in mind. Durable enough to withstand decades on water, yet recyclable at the end of their useful life, they reflect our ambition to make responsible choices across the entire value chain. Less land occupied.
