Economist job description
The Ideal Candidate:
- Dynamic and organized person;
- Graduate of higher education;
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and tax legislation;
- Relevant practical experience of at least 3 years in an accounting department;
- Knowledge of SAGA software – an advantage;
- Experience in accounting in a construction company is an advantage;
- Ability to analyse and meet deadlines;
- Effective planning and communication skills;
- Efficiency in working with documents, following working procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording operations;
- Experience in completing /generating tax returns – an advantage
Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of accounting;
- Knowledge of Excel (intermediate level – functions, pivot tables);
- Supervision of reconciliations and closing of accounts;
- Preparing the work to close the accounts on time and drawing up the annual financial statements;
- Participation in audit missions;
- Preparation of all monthly and quarterly statements;
- Checking depreciation, revaluations and payroll accounting notes;
- Monitoring supplier/customer contracts;
- Continuously monitor financial and accounting legislation and ensure compliance;
- Ongoing analysis of the impact of legislative and regulatory changes;
- Preparation of reports requested by Management;
- Checking the monthly balance sheet;
- Checking and operating payroll and leave provision notes;
- Checking journals
- Checking transaction correlations (on the types of transactions generating the automatic accounting notes);
- Checking and correcting (where applicable) transactions with partners
- Preparation of accounting notes on advances to suppliers),
- Ensuring the flow of accounting operations according to internal regulations
- Supporting responsible and sustained activity
- Ability to focus and identify early on the essential elements that may bring imbalances in the specific activity.
